The Southern Maryland Association of Professional Pet Sitters (SMAPPS) was founded in 2007 by Cathee Brinkley, LVT with a vision to promote professional pet sitting in Southern Maryland.
We are a group of business owners dedicated to promoting the welfare of animals by raising the standards of the pet sitting industry by example and education.
All of our members are required to have liablilty insurance, adhere to the Recommended Quality Standards of Excellence in Pet Sitting and attend 1 meeting per quarter.
